Separate community for extension starts in 3 cases:

• Extension has been developed within idoitbetter.org.
• For some extension was developed an additional functional within idoitbetter.org.
• The developer has decided to maintain his extension at idoitbetter.org

Decision about, what developer and manager will realize an idea, taking by Fund Keeper. If an idea has a potential developer (for example, a developer adds an idea that he wants to realize by himself), then preference will be given to him. In describing of idea or in comments to it, author must specify the conditions and fees. Here other developers can offer their conditions. The final decision depends on:

• Who is author of idea.
• Project’s cost.
• Term.
• Carma of the developper on IDoitBetter.org.
• Experience of development on IDoitBetter.org in other projects.

Sandbox is needed in order to highlight the real challenges and popular ideas. Add an idea in the Sandbox can any registered user. In the Sandbox idea is discussed, forms a technical task, developpers and ideas goes througth a competition.

When you adding an idea in the Sandbox, you must to point:

• Whether are you will the Manager of this project or not.
• Whether is there a potential Developer for the realization of idea (link to his profile on the idoitbetter.org) or not.

Any registered user can to add new idea. Moreover, it does not matter whether a potential developer is there already. Or the developer only must be found.

All ideas for the extension, which still has no community on idoitbetter.org, are published in the Sandbox (irrespective of whether has this idea potential developer with ready technical task or not).

All ideas for the extension, which already has its own community on idoitbetter.org, is posted in this community.

All extensions, that developed within idoitbetter.org is delivered under the same license as the CMS Joomla! — GNU GPL v.2.

Developers publishes information about the extension at the official website CMS Joomla! in the «Extensions» section: http://extensions.joomla.org. Herewith:

• In the "Developer" field they point out themself, or idoitbetter.org (at they discretion).
• In the "Website" field, they refer to a website or page of extension on idoitbetter.org (at they discretion).
  

If in the "Developer" and "Website" fields developers are referred to themself, then they must insert the following text in description of the extension:

"Extension has been developed within idoitbetter.org (link).
Idea’s author: [name or nickname on idoitbetter.org], [link to the discuss page of this idea on idoitbetter.org site].
If you need in additional functional development, please visit: [link to the extension’s community on idoitbetter.org]".

The same statement should be inserted in the extension’s source files.

The developers can place the extension for downloading at his site (at their discretion). And upload it on idoitbetter.org, using the "Submit file" option in the "Download" area. After checking, the extension will be approved for downloading in idoitbetter.org "Download" area.

Grants are allocated for development:

• Brand new extensions «from scratch».
• New features for existing Joomla! extensions (if it is permitted by extention’s license).
