At school sites, there is a fire wall that prohibits sites like YouTube, MySpace or FaceBook. We need to upload files to a private server (mine), where I am housing the web page and blog. It doesn't look like .flv or .swf files can be uploaded or viewed correctly according to the video. Is this problem being addressed? I have another question. Is the IDOEditor the default editor for blog users after an install of IDOBlog on Joomla. TinyMCE appears to be the registered editor. Once again, any help would be appreciated.

I need to remove "Read more", "Smiles"...

Sometimes i need to remove "Add video", "Add audio".

And I don't need picture resizing.

How can I do this?

And... when a user uploads an artice, he may notice three default buttons below the editor: Image; Pagebreak; Readmore. Is it possible to hide or remove them?

PS This editor is great for front end users but perhaps needs some instruments to adjust uesers restrictions.

Collective texts translation component for CMS Joomla! 1.5 +

Increasingly, it is necessary that the site spoke on several languages. If you use the automatic translation from Google Translator, the translation will be insufficient quality. If you manually create the different language versions of the site, then, firstly, it is very expensive. Second is very inconvenient, because constantly need to translate the new publication. Third, visitors are split into language groups and discuss the same material in their own version of the site.

We propose to create a component of the collective texts translation.

Users, by their wish, will can translate text on the site to the native and foreign languages. When reading the article, the visitor will able to choose ready translated version on desired language. Obtain such a kind of collaborative editing or Crowdsourcing. What we get:

• site administration does not bear the costs for translation;
• No language versions of site, visitors themselves determines what articles needs to be translated and in what language;
• discussion of one material is not broken.

Under the title of article will contain the string "Translated by crowd" with the menu of translations. For ease of transfer, you can add a link to http://translate.google.com/toolkit.

In Joomla you can place the module only on those pages that are in the site menu. But it is often necessary to place the module on the page or a subpage, which does not invoke the menu.

For this purpose, many use the following method. First, create a menu that nowhere appears, but is contained in the system. And only then designate the desired output module on the right page. However, this method is not applicable for each case.

We propose to create a special module, which displaing on any page you want.

Administrator, in module settings, introduces the URL of the page on which you want to display module. IDoModuleTargeter module is implemented as a container for modules (it can be set to display any other modules).

Module must have a different more delicate settings such as:

• show module only for unregistered users (for example, "Join now");
• rotation of the modules (for example, that in one module were shown 20 different modules);
• schedule (for example, at the radio station: "Now on the air DJ Hmelnov")

The module should handle cookies, that to be able to:

• display module in/at a certain time interval;
• display module at each hundredth viewing the page the user (or any other count);
• display module specified number of times for one user.

These settings will be very useful, not to be too intrusive or show in one module different information.

We wrote a php-script that monitors changes in own Joomla files and files of its extensions. After running, the script scans all files of a site. And displays a report of changing the existing files of Joomla and its extensions, as well as the appearance of new files.

At the first run, you create an etalon «snapshot» of the system."Snapshot" it is a text file with data of all existing files:

• name;
• location (which folder is stored);
• date of creation;
• date of last modification.

This php-script can be very useful to detect unauthorized changes of files and the introduction of malicious code.

We propose to make this decision, as an integrated protection and intrusion detection component (for Joomla 1.5 +). And immediately establish the following new features.
